Verb Technology Buys $713M Toncoin to Boost TON Treasury

Nasdaq-listed Verb Technology has taken a major step in expanding its digital asset reserves by buying $713 million worth of Toncoin (TON), adding to a total of $780 million in treasury assets.

The company, which plans to rebrand as Ton Strategy Company, made the purchase shortly after closing a $558 million private placement on August 8, joined by more than 110 institutional and crypto-native investors. According to the firm, the funds from the offering were mostly used to buy Toncoin, which will serve as its main treasury reserve.

Manuel Stotz, the company’s Executive Chairman, said, “Crossing $780 million in assets just days after our private placement reflects the conviction behind $TON.

This is more than building a balance sheet; it’s about contributing to the security of TON blockchain – where participants can build, transact, and benefit directly from the underlying financial protocols.”

Verb Technology aims to hold over 5% of Toncoin’s circulating supply, making it one of the largest holders of the coin. The company plans to increase its Toncoin per share through reinvested cash flows, staking rewards, and careful use of capital markets.

By doing this, Verb became the first publicly traded company to hold a treasury reserve focused on TON, supporting the blockchain’s economic foundation rather than simply keeping tokens on its balance sheet.

According to CoinMarketCap, Toncoin is currently trading around $3.32, with a small increase in the last 24 hours. Over the past week and month, it has fallen 4% and 6.5%, respectively. The large purchase by Verb Technology shows the growing support for Toncoin and could attract more interest in the coin.

Notably, TON is used in Telegram’s Mini App ecosystem, which has over one billion monthly users. The coin supports wallets, payments, and other everyday features on the platform.

With this purchase, Verb Technology adds to its treasury while helping the TON network grow and remain secure.
