ClearBank Joins Circle Network to Expand Stablecoin Access

ClearBank is teaming up with Circle to make digital payments faster in Europe. Circle, the company behind USDC and EURC stablecoins, will work with ClearBank to help banks and fintechs move money quickly and safely.

As part of the partnership, ClearBank will connect its cloud banking system to Circle’s network. This will let European customers use Circle’s MiCA-compliant stablecoins, which follow European rules for digital money.

The move will also allow users to trade regular money for stablecoins through Circle Mint, a tool that makes buying and redeeming digital coins simple. Furthermore, both sides say this will help cut payment delays and make transactions cheaper across borders.

In addition, ClearBank plans to join the Circle Payments Network, also known as CPN. This system settles transfers almost instantly using public blockchains, allowing money to move at internet speed.

The idea is to bridge traditional banking with new digital payment rails. Consequently, ClearBank’s goal is to make international transfers faster and easier while keeping full regulatory oversight.

Meanwhile, Mark Fairless, Chief Executive Officer of ClearBank, said the partnership is a key moment in the bank’s growth.

He said, “Joining Circle Payments Network will be a significant milestone in ClearBank’s evolution as a cross-border payments innovator.” He added that the deal will join ClearBank’s regulated banking base with Circle’s strength in digital currency technology.

Likewise, Sanja Kon, Vice President of Partnerships and Business Development at Circle, welcomed the move. She said it will help expand access to USDC and EURC and support new financial tools built on digital money.

Both companies also plan to explore future uses for stablecoins in treasury and tokenized assets. They believe this step will inspire other European banks to adopt similar models under MiCA rules.
