Forward Industries Forms Solana Treasury Advisory Board

Forward Industries, a Nasdaq-listed firm, has set up a 25-member crypto advisory board to help shape its Solana-based treasury strategy.

Announced this week, the board brings together experts from Solana, DeFi, and traditional finance to guide the company’s growing role in the Solana ecosystem.

According to the press release, the new board includes well-known names such as Helium founder Amir Haleem, Backpack CEO Armani Ferrante, Drift Labs co-founder Cindy Leow, Superstate CEO Robert Leshner, and Gauntlet founder Tarun Chitra.

Galaxy Digital executives Harry Austin and Michael Marcantonio also joined the group. The members are expected to help Forward shape its blockchain goals and manage its Solana-based assets effectively.

“Establishing a dedicated Crypto Advisory Board is an important milestone as Forward executes on its strategy to bring the value of the Solana ecosystem to investors,” said Kyle Samani, Chairman of the Board of Directors. He added that the talent joining the board shows growing trust in Solana within global markets.

Forward’s decision follows its recent $1.6 billion purchase of 6.8 million SOL tokens. It also filed a $4 billion equity offering to expand its holdings. Data shows public companies now hold about 16 million SOL, compared to almost none at the start of 2025, with Forward holding half of the number.

The Solana Foundation has helped firms such as Forward, Sharps Technology, and DeFi Development Corp. through discounted SOL allocations.

Meanwhile,  Forward also received backing from the foundation and its partners Galaxy Digital, Jump Crypto, and Multicoin Capital. The advisory board may expand to include more leaders from blockchain, finance, and technology.

Chairman Kyle Samani said Forward’s leadership remains united in its mission to grow the company’s Solana strategy. Board observers Chris Ferraro and Saurabh Sharma will continue to guide financial and digital asset operations.
With this, the company aims to leverage the insights of its advisory board to strengthen its Solana-focused strategy and deliver long-term value to shareholders.
