Strategy Buys 390 BTC Worth $43M Ahead of Fed Meeting

Michael Saylor’s company, Strategy, has added 390 BTC worth about $43 million to its holdings. The purchase happened between October 20 and 26, 2025, and was reported to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission on October 27.
The company is based in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Moreover, Strategy said it made the buy using money raised from selling preferred shares, not its common stock.
According to the SEC filing, the company paid an average of $111,117 per Bitcoin, including all fees and costs. With this addition, Strategy now holds 640,808 Bitcoin. As a result, the total value of its holdings is about $47.44 billion.
The company’s average purchase price across all its Bitcoin is $74,032. Furthermore, the report was signed by W. Ming Shao, Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Strategy Inc.
The funds used came from the sale of several preferred share classes. These included STRF, STRK, and STRD shares, which together brought in around $44.7 million. In addition, the filing stated that no MSTR common stock was sold during the period.
Strategy also mentioned that updates about its Bitcoin and financial metrics are shared publicly on its website dashboard. This serves as an official source for investors to access company disclosures and Bitcoin data.
In an X post, Michael Saylor hinted at the purchase a day earlier. He posted “It’s Orange Dot Day,” alongside Strategy’s Bitcoin tracker, a signal his followers now recognize as a new buy.
Consequently, this marks the third straight week the company has added to its Bitcoin stack, showing its continued commitment to Bitcoin as a key asset.
The purchase came just before the Federal Reserve’s policy meeting scheduled for October 28 and 29. Investors expect another rate cut, which could influence market sentiment.
Meanwhile, Bitcoin traded above $115,000 during the announcement, while Strategy’s stock, MSTR, rose nearly 2% to $289, according to YahooFinance.
