Vivopower Partners with Crypto.com for XRP Asset Custody

Vivopower International has teamed up with Crypto.com to securely protect its XRP treasury with top-level institutional custody. The deal was announced today in London and aims to boost Vivopower’s blockchain plans while making the most of the growing decentralized finance market.

Under the agreement, Crypto.com Custody will store Vivopower’s digital assets securely. It will also give the company trading access through its broker-dealer platform, letting both retail and institutional investors buy and sell Vivopower shares easily. The move is expected to improve liquidity for XRP and other tokens while opening up future XRP restaking opportunities via Flare Networks.

Crypto.com’s President and COO, Eric Anziani, said the platform was “purpose-built for today and tomorrow’s market,” adding that it offers institutions “a most comprehensive, safe and secure crypto platform for acquiring and managing digital assets.” Vivopower’s Executive Chairman, Kevin Chin, said the partnership gives the company “exposure to Crypto.com’s 150 million crypto native user base” and more room for global expansion thanks to its custody services in different countries.

The partnership follows Vivopower’s bold decision to build up its XRP holdings. The company previously secured the token at an implied price of $0.47 and announced plans to buy $100 million worth of Ripple shares. Meanwhile, the company also entered a $100 million deal with Flare Networks to use XRP in DeFi projects aimed at creating revenue and improving its digital asset strategy.

With $121 million raised, Vivopower is among the first public companies to build an XRP-focused treasury. According to the company, these funds will be used to buy XRP and help grow the XRP Ledger ecosystem for real-world blockchain uses.

Meanwhile, Other companies are also making similar moves. For instance, Nature’s Miracle, a vertical farming technology firm, recently launched a $20 million XRP treasury program to create a long-term reserve. These steps show the rising interest in XRP as a corporate reserve asset.
